Finals week Photo Shoot

So the pictures that I took almost 2 weeks ago. (sorry everyone) Are up and although many of them have some blur spots and smudges, I don't think I will be photoshoping every single one. I'm not exactly sure what went wrong but I'm not very happy with a lot of them. Any way, there are a lot of pictures and while I would love to post my favorites here. It's very time consuming and work is pretty much destroying all of my free time. All of the alike pictures are together and I haven't put up the pictures from Rita's picture machine yet. I'll add an update to this post when I do. If you have a picture that you want me to work on, if you can't do it yourself, contact me through IM, email or the many other contact methods that I have. I really liked doing this shoot and I hope that everybody else did also. I don't really have much else to say. I wish I had used a different camera though to avoid the three dots on the left side problem (you'll see it when you look at them). Thanks to everyone that was involved. I hope you like the pictures. Leave comments, If you want.

Final Fashion Show

So the last Show of the academic year is over and I'm very late posting these pictures. Mostly because there are 650 of them. I obviously will not put them all here and I will probably leave out a few designs and only post my favorite pictures. Everyone did a great job though, so deciding which ones to keep is going to be tough. The show was awesome, though the DJ wasn't much better. I'm going to have to make a mix over the summer that they can use. We had great seats and we were behind the guy that taught the models how to walk. Some of them I don't think really listened to him. Each designer had a theme or inspiration for there collection and there was only one that I thought was a little odd. The inspiration was...Horse Fantasy. I'm not making that up and while I know exactly what the designer meant it was way too funny not to pass up a good laugh. Although that was not the hightlight of the show it was a good way to start it off. You can get a pretty good sense of what it was like if you weren't there, but I'm guessing most of the people that see this were there. Everyone, you did great. I'm not going to give tips this time, I think I was a little too harsh last time. Pics are up top. Go Here to see way more pictures and in a larger form, or a slideshow form.

P.S: Rita, If you read this, I can't do the photoshoot next week. I'm sorry, and I don't have anyway to contact you. Email or IM me when you can.

Fashion Show: Iris Festival

Today was the Food for Fashion show, presented by the Keizer Iris Festival. It's an annual show done to rais money and food for the Keizer community food bank. I can't think of a better reason to see a fashion show. Rarely do we see how high fashion can help the needy. For a great cause, seeing the show is worth the three dollars if you bring canned food. Along with the fashion show there was a flower show(consisting of mostly Irises) and an art show. Coming from Portland and Corvallis I though "oh Keizer, that's going to be a nice little show". WRONG! It was big, big and awesome. I had no idea this was such a big deal. Fashion shows aren't such a chick thing anymore. Being a fashion critic is fun and press makes it even more fun. This being the first press pass I have ever had., I was pretty pumped. Before the show, bags were handed out, granted they were Catherines plus size bags, but they had candy so I accepted it. The show was organized great. The music wasn't bad and the people running the show had a definite plan. They all get an A. The designers I was less than pleased with, but I don't judge. The Judges did that. The winner, Echo Earth (aka Laurisa Lua), had some great simple designs that anybody could wear. Chelsea Miles got second with her popcan tab dress and Kayla Kennington got 3rd with an Asian inspired (I assume) dress with a long head piece. I made some notes for the Models: SMILE, it's not tough, and makes it look like you have a soul. None of your teeth are so perfect that they will create a glare for the photographer. Designers: Simple is better, that giant head piece may look great but realize that high fashion does not equal real fashion. People: Go to fashion shows, it doesn't matter how big or small you think it is going to be, go and have fun. The spectrum show at OSU was free to students, this show was only $3.oo if you brough cans. That's all I have to say to the people. I have to put the pictures in a small second post, click on them to see the bigger picture.

OSU Fashion Show: Spectrum

So this Thursday I was at a fashion show taking pictures and generally just looking at good and terrible fashion. There was no middle ground. It was all either good or bad. I don't have much to say about the pictures. They pretty much speak for them selves. My watermark is a little big and not very transparent. I will be changing that for next time. The pictures are split by designer with big breaks and the small breaks mean same designer. You can see more pictures here. They are pretty much the best ones that are student designed. I left out the retail part of the show because it didn't really have any thing interesting. The lingerie turned out blurry and the upper playground pics don't show anything new. So have a look around. If you see something you like click it to make it bigger. Designer is displayed when I can read it. If one of the unknown is yours please email me and I will put your name there. If any designer has a problem with this being shown, email me and I will take your work down promptly.
